Rehabilitation of Center Avenue and Lemoine Avenue Bridges
Project Scope
WJFE was contacted to prepare underdeck timber shielding, removable bridge deck formwork, and concrete deck demolition plans for all seven spans of both Center Avenue and Lemoine Avenue bridges. There are multiple stages proposed for each bridge with spans varying in length and design, between concrete and steel. There are also utilities below the bridge deck that were to be temporarily supported and protected throughout the project.

Bruckner Ramp Replacement
Project Scope
Gianfia Construction Corp. contacted WJFE to prepare removable bridge deck formwork for the ramp accessing a parking garage at Con Edison’s facility off of Bruckner Boulevard East. The new ramp has a length of 205ft with a maximum slope of 12.5% with shallow girders. Timber posts and hanger brackets were used to support the temporary wood forms along with overhang brackets with bracing.

JFK Development Program Work Order 113
Project Scope
Grace Industries requested that WJFE provide multiple pick plans and rigging designs to lift and set custom precast manholes and roof slabs. The plans utilized various combinations of rigging including spreader beams, lifting triangles, and snatchblocks to stabilize the loads all while having the crane stay within Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) height restrictions.
